EE’s unique after-school program is a highly interactive series of workshops during which students in grades 3 – 5 engage their senses to explore all areas of science, with particular attention paid to the ecological and environmental sciences. Students in the afterschool program can expect an adventure in every workshop. They become the engineers drawing up designs and building new machines and the crew of creative scientists testing and interpreting data. No one-size-fits-all science here! The direction of the program is the choice of the learners. Students help choose the topics that most interest them and each session is catered accordingly for maximum fun and learning! Dozens of program topics, student-directed learning! Ecology, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Paleontology, Geology and many other disciplines of science. All Club lessons are designed to help with the development of the following scientific process skills: observing, classifying, comparing, measuring, critical thinking, predicting, hypothesizing, sequencing and experimentation. |
