Dear Parents,

Happy Halloween! I know trick-or-treating has been delayed, but we still celebrated the day at school. And, I am sure the closing on Tuesday surprised many of you – so was I! I hope you were all reached by our alert system. We are still in its early stages so it isn’t quite where we want it to be yet, but we are working on it!

Report cards will be sent home on Friday, November 2.

NOVEMBER CALENDAR: We will not have school on Election Day, November 6, but the teachers will be available for conferences. A conference form is being sent home today to allow us enough time to schedule before next Tuesday. Since you all have access to grades through Option C, I am sure you know which teachers you need to see already.

Also, we will be off for the Thanksgiving Holiday beginning with an early dismissal on Wednesday, the 21st. Classes will resume on Tuesday, November 27.

NOVEMBER EVENTS: The Middle School Faith Rally will be in our gym on Friday, November 2. There are nearly 200 students in grades 6 through 8 already registered.

Our first Forensics Meet is Saturday, November 17. Out team has been working to get ready and we wish them a successful outing.

The Turkey Shoot will be held the weekend of November 23 through 25. We receive many compliments on this well run tournament from our visiting teams. Stop in to see some good basketball and cheer our teams on to a great start of the season.

The month ends with our Santa Shop on Friday, November 30 and is followed by the very popular Santa Breakfast on December 1. You will receive the reservation forms for the breakfast later this month.

And, looking ahead to Christmas, don’t forget we have a large variety of Scrip available for some easy shopping. The directions to order the cards are being sent home again today. 75% of the profit from the cards you purchase is applied to your tuition!! One of the comments I hear often is that people buy gift cards at the grocery store to get the fuel perks. You can buy the grocery card here, get the tuition credit, and then buy your other cards and get the fuel perks. This is a win-win situation!

The faculty and I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! You are all remembered in our prayers of thanks!

God bless,

Mrs. J
