 Dear Parents,

This morning the eighth graders led the rosary in all homerooms to celebrate the Month of the Rosary.  It was really a great experience to walk through the halls and hear the Hail Mary coming from all the classrooms.  The eighth graders did a great job and honored Mary in a very special way.

 November News:

FEAST OF ALL SAINTS:  There will be an all school Mass for the holyday on November 1.  The Mass will be in the gym and begins at 9:00 a.m.

DONUTS:  Members of the Athletic Association and PTG will be making and selling donuts after Masses on Saturday, 11/2, and Sunday, 11/3.    This is a lot of work – but the end result is always delicious!  Please support the sale; all proceeds are given to the school for our operating expenses.

PARENT CONFERENCES:  You should have received a form for the conferences that will be held on Election Day, November 5.  We will send home your time as soon as possible – but definitely by Monday.

PICTURES:  Pictures will be taken for students who were absent on the original date on Tuesday, November 19.  Three year Preschool will also be taken.

THANKSGIVING VACATION:  School will dismiss at 11:30 on Wednesday, the 27th, and resume on Tuesday, December 3.  We will celebrate an all-school Mass of Thanksgiving on Wednesday at 9 in the gym.  Please join us as we thank God for the many blessings He has given us.

TURKEY SHOOT:  The annual Turkey Shoot basketball tournament will be held in our gym on Friday through Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.  Stop in and see a few games at this very popular tournament.

LOTTERY CALENDAR:  Calendars will be sold throughout the months of November and December, $30.  The calendar, based on the PA lottery drawing, will be for January through March.  You will receive information from Mrs. Cortopassi, who has generously offered to organize the sale.  The proceeds from the sale will be directly applied to the fund raising requirement of our budget and all families are asked to support this much needed event.

BARNES AND NOBLE BOOK FAIR:  Mark your calendars for December 8 and plan to visit the store.  A percentage of all proceeds will come to the school.  The day will include some performances by the students, gift-wrapping, a children’s craft table, and even a Cyclone Smoothie at the coffee bar.  You will hear more during November.

CONGRATULATIONS:  Thank you, Volleyball Coaches!  Our girls have had very successful seasons – playoff games and a section championship!  And, besides all the practice, the teams also organized a very successful Pink Out, raising $1,348.40 for breast cancer treatment.   And, thank you, parents for all your help throughout the season.

The faculty and I extend our wishes that you all have a blessed Thanksgiving!

 God bless,

Mrs. J
